POSITION SUMMARY

Ensures Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are developed in compliance with State and Federal regulations by reviewing, collecting and updating submitted forms. Maintains databases for the Department of Special Education by utilizing the MiStar Special Education System and compiles data for evaluation and documentation. Routinely communicates with the Director of Transition Services and Job Attainment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear.  This position will require the individual to travel between office sites.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen and small number.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
