POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Success Coordinator's main responsibilities include connecting with and helping our participants

and learners find success while they are in the Adult Education program through phone calls for

retention and engagement, as well as to assist students in the CLEP and Dual Enrollment Platform. This

is a grant funded position through June 30, 2026.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred with experience in the area(s) of counseling/career navigation/social work
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with adult learners and LESA Staff.
  • Competency in post-secondary enrollment process.
  • Make and track communication with adult learners to keep them engaged through adult education programming.
  • Assist students in the CLEP and Dual Enrollment Platform.
  • Implements a comprehensive assessment system (e.g. formative, interim, and summative) for the purpose of monitoring student acheivement and utilizing the data to guide and inform instruction.
  • Understanding FASFA, and Financial Resources available for adult learners.

 

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

REQUIRED

  1. Strong verbal communication skills.
  2. Ability to remain confidential when exposed to sensitive information.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and demonstrate flexibility A minimum of 1-year of experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and is a standard acceptable level for this environment. Is directly responsibility for student safety, work output and well-being.

 

The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment.
